I did this piece freehand, the actual nut surface is about 1 1/2 x 2 inches. I really love working on tagua.

Wow.....what sort of tool do you use for such fine work? I've never had much luck with the cheap commercial ones that seemt o be all I can find.

I use a Detail Master machine - they are fantastic when it comes to pyrography. I generally use Razor Tip pens for it, but I've used a variety of different types. Pricey, but well worth the investment if you're seriously interested in woodburning.
